World Diabetes Day (14/11)
World Diabetes Day is the primary global awareness campaign focusing on diabetes mellitus and is held on November 14 each year.
Led by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), each World Diabetes Day focuses on a theme related to diabetes, a largely preventable and treatable non-communicable disease that is rapidly increasing in numbers worldwide.[1] Topics covered have included diabetes and human rights, diabetes and lifestyle, diabetes and obesity, diabetes in the disadvantaged and the vulnerable, and diabetes in children and adolescents. While the campaigns last the whole year, the day itself marks the birthday of Frederick Banting who, along with Charles Best and John James Rickard Macleod, first conceived the idea which led to the discovery of insulin in 1922.
This challenging disease has been much spoken about in all systems of medicine. On this day Yoga and Indian Naturopathy division plays the main role of food awareness along side with other divisions.

World Siddha Day (14/04)
Siddha literature and practices reveal that the major medicine preparation and treatment are commenced from the first day of the Tamil month ‘Chithirai’. It is a befitting one that the ‘World Siddha Day’ is being celebrated on this day. I congratulate the National Institute of Siddha for organizing the First World Siddha Day Celebrations in a fruitful and effective manner. On this World Siddha Day Celebrations,it is imperative that we recall the wisdom and knowledge of the pioneers in Siddha medicine and take it to the younger generation.

World Yoga Day (21/06)
The idea of an International Day of Yoga was first proposed by Narendra Modi during his speech at the UNGA, on 27 September 2014.
He stated:
Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and the nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help in well being. Let us work towards adopting an International Yoga Day.
— Narendra Modi, UN General Assembly
Following this initial proposal, the UNGA held informal consultations on the draft resolution entitled “International Day of Yoga”,
Dear Members,
